# Your first website

What happens from signing up to having a real address you can send someone. About ten minutes, most of it waiting.

## Signing up

Enter your name, e-mail and a password, and we e-mail you a **6-digit code**. Type it on the same page and your account is created — nothing exists until you do, so a stranger who types your address gets nothing. The code works for 15 minutes; **Send a new code** gives you a fresh one (only the newest works). **Continue with Google** skips the code, because Google has already confirmed the address.

## What you get before paying

Signing up gives you a **30-day free trial** and some credits to spend. You can build, preview and publish a site during the trial. Two things stay behind a paid plan: **reading your site's source code** and **downloading it as a .zip**.

## 1. Describe what you need

**New website** from the sidebar. You will be asked two questions before anything builds:

- **What do you sell or offer?** List your main services or products.
- **What is the one thing you want a visitor to do?** Call, WhatsApp, book, fill a form, buy, or visit the shop.

These are worth answering properly. Without them the AI is guessing, and a guess costs you a build. You can skip them, but the result will be more generic.

## 2. Let it build

Nine agents run in order — one plans, one writes the copy, one designs, one codes, and the rest check each other's work. You watch it happen; it takes a few minutes.

A complete website costs **about 400 credits**. The exact number depends on how many pages and how much content.

## 3. Look at it

The preview on the right is the real page. Switch between desktop, tablet and phone with the icons above it. If something is wrong, say so in the chat on the left — "make the heading shorter", "use a warmer colour" — and it will revise. Small edits are cheap; renaming a word is free.

## 4. Publish

**Deploy** puts it at a public Laabam.site address, something like `your-site-a1b2c3d4.laabam.site`. That is a real address you can send to anyone.

New sites start **hidden from Google** on purpose — so a page nobody has checked does not turn up in search. When you are happy, turn on **Found on Google** on the project page.

## 5. Use your own domain

If you own `yourbusiness.com`, connect it from the project page. You add one DNS record with your registrar, we verify it, and your site answers on your own name. Full walkthrough: [Connecting your own domain](/guide/domains).

## Two things worth knowing early

**Your website stays up if your plan lapses.** A failed card does not take a business's website off the internet. What pauses is new AI building.

**Publishing is always your click.** Nothing goes to a public address because an AI decided it should — including anything ChatGPT sends. You read it, then you publish it.
